is an editor and the founder of Gerry Dean Editorial, an editing company offering services to a wide variety of clients looking to publish, submit, or distribute written work in print, online, or digitally.
She's a graduate of the University of Washington's editing program, and a participant in the Sourcebooks BIPOC editorial training program.
She's a member of the American Copy Editors Society, the Association of Writing & Writing Programs, and an instructor for the Editorial Freelancers Association.

Darina is a regular contributor to the Hudson Valley Writers Guild, where she interviews writers and writes about craft. ​​​Darina is also a judge for the We Need Diverse Books mentorship program, and a former editorial assistant for the literary magazine Under the Gum Tree.
